Changes have been made to the management of multiple companies of the LDz Group

As restructuring of the “Latvian Railway” (LDz) group continues, LDz subsidiary companies, the member meetings of SIA “LDz Loģistika” and SIA “LDz ritošā sastāva serviss” (RSS) have approved changes to the boards of both companies. Sandis Vētra has been approved as the member of the RSS Board on strategic development issues, while Gundars Ābols, the former board member, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of “LDz Loģistika”.

Sandis Vētra used to be a member of the RSS board in 2011-2014, and has also been on the board of SIA “LDz Infrastruktūra”. S.Vētra has significant experience in financial management and law, thus ensuring the necessary competences for the management of the company.

In turn, Gundars Ābols, the new Chairman of the Board of “LDz Loģistika”, works in the group since 2013, and has specialised in international co-operation. Having regard to the scale of international cooperation and the strategic goals of “LDz Loģistika” in developing new Eurasian corridors and ensuring the operation of the existing corridors, his competence will allow him to continue working on the development of the overall supply of Latvian transport and logistics.

Verners Lūsis, the former Chairman of the Board of“LDz Loģistika”, has submitted a letter of resignation on personal grounds. Therefore, a decision was taken to ensure the continuity of the company’s business by making a rotation of positions within the LDz Group.
