Today, on August 5, SJSC Latvijas dzelzceļš celebrates its 89th anniversary. To mark this event on August 6 in Latvian Railway History Museum there will take place a ceremony, in which the best workers of concern Latvijas dzelzceļš will be given awards.
Recognition awards from the Ministry of Transport, Honorary awards from SJSC Latvijas dzelzceļš (LDz) and valuable prizes – watches with engraving and Recognition awards from the Chairman of the Board of LDz will receive 36 workers of concern Latvijas dzelzceļš.
For the second time there will be given Year award to an outstanding railway researcher or practical worker for the great work or life contribution to rail transport of Latvia, and to a prospective new expert of Latvijas dzelzceļš – master, doctoral student or a researcher for research in the rail transport sector. This tradition was established last year.
