The concern

Latvian Railway (LDz) Concern is one of the biggest in the state, employing more than 12 400 people. LDz is the biggest payer of social and resident income taxes to state budget, besides, its economic activities make contribution to the whole state economics.

Latvian Railway (LDz) Concern comprises the holding company – State Joint Stock Company Latvijas dzelzceļš and the following subsidiary companies: LDz Cargo Ltd, LDz infrastruktūra Ltd, LDz ritošā sastāva serviss Ltd, and LDz Apsardze Ltd.

LDz Cargo created its own subsidiary company - LDz Cargo loģistika Ltd, which is indirectly subordinated to Latvian Railway.
