Reconstruction of the rail tracks in Latvia under the TEN - T Priority Project No. 27 "Rail Baltica" programme continues. During this year, it is planned to restore 36.75 km of rails tracks in three important sections:
- Brenguļi – Strenči;
- Strenči – Saule;
- Saule – Lugaži – Latvia-Estonia border.
In all these sections, a Type B rail track overhaul, subgrade repair and the overhaul of eight level crossings will be carried out.
In 2014 LDz Infrastruktūra Ltd. has plans to reconstruct and renovate rail tracks and carry out other repairs on more than 103 tracks.
