On 27 May 2009 at Latvian Railway History Museum the vocal group Cosmos presented to their fans and media the new audio album Pasaki man un tev, which was released in cooperation with Latvijas dzelzceļš. The album comprises fairy-tales written by children

Uģis Magonis, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas dzelzceļš gave thanks to the group Cosmos for cooperation and he expressed the hope that this album will encourage children to read fairy-tales. “Creative work of the group Cosmos has inspired many children to sing and I hope that this project will make interest in fairy-tales between many of them. Let us have many wagons with fairy-tales, “ said U.Magonis.

When giving thanks to the sponsors the singer of Cosmos Jānis Šipkēvics gave special thanks to Latvijas dzelzceļš. “These days when there is a desire to create something new, but it is not possible to realize it due to lack of material resources, we would like to thank our supporter –Latvijas dzelzceļš with all our hearts,” added J.Šipkēvics.

The singers of group Cosmos together with Chairman of the Board of Latvijas dzelzceļš at Latvian Railway History Museum read a fairy-tale from the new album Kā dziesma izglāba Vinniju Pūku.

The group Cosmos is certain that this album will be interesting not only for adults, but also for children. The album comprises fairy-tales written by children and songs from a song cycle composed by Arturs Maskats with lyrics of Inese Zandere from the collection Iekšiņa un āriņa.

In between songs and fairy-tale readings Uģis Magonis, Chairman of LDz together with the singers of Cosmos gave presents to the children from Rauda special boarding school for children-orphans, Medumi special boarding school and Raiņa children`s home Irlava for their drawings that were used for album cover design.

Album Pasaki man un Tev will be delivered to all schools in Latvia free of charge. The fairy-tales are available at Platforma Music internet homepage www.platformamusic.lv for downloading free of charge. The new album will be available also in music stores.
