Claims

The claims of passengers, freight luggage senders and receivers against SJSC Latvijas Dzelzceļš (LDZ, Latvian Railway), which are founded in the carriage contract, in writing should be sent to International Passenger Transportations Department of the LLC “LDZ Cargo”(Address: Dzirnavu Street 147 k-1, Riga, Latvia, LV-1050) in the following cases:

• Returning of the ticket fare to passengers, if:
  • the travelling document has not been used or was used partially (on some of the sections),
  • due to railway undertaking a trip was performed in a lower class or category wagon as indicated in the travelling document,
  • the travelling document was used by a smaller number of passengers as it had been indicated;

(These claims are being examined based on presented travelling documents, which have been formed in the booking offices of the Latvian Railway.)

• compensation for fully or partly loss of luggage or freight luggage;
• compensation for luggage or freight luggage delivery delay.
